The United States Amateur Pickleball Association holds the title of nation's top pickleball club. It offers a comprehensive listing of pickleball locations throughout the United States, including courts, courts, and parks. It had more than 22,000 members and nearly 40,000 players at the end 2013.

In 2010, the USAPA reached 30,000 members. The USAPA's membership grew by almost 43% over the previous year. The association now has over 40,000 members and is projected to increase by more than 50,000 by 2021.


In its first year, the organization rebranded to match the branding of other sports governing organizations. After a thorough redesign, a new look was created and the logo was incorporated into the official website. The association also signed agreements with national television stations that year.

The USAPA has a volunteer Ambassador group of over 1,500. This group includes more than 50 pickleball coaches, experts and instructors. It has nearly twenty employees. Justin Maloof is its executive director. He was appointed in January 2013.

Ben McLean is often called the "poster boy" of pickleball. As some pickleball fans demand a new face, McLean's name is starting to fade. McLean is still trying to protect his investment.

The company has launched its own gaming channel, in addition to its website. On Facebook, the organization's team broadcasts live matches and has a total reach of 1.5 million viewers.

USAPA publishes a print magazine, in addition to live video content and Facebook. These publications are available to USAPA members at a discounted price.

Many tournaments and events are also popular because of its popularity. For example, the Margaritaville USA Pickleball National Championships in July 2013 featured the largest cash purse in the history of the sport.
